I discovered Pieloon years ago while working at the Stonewood Mall. Once I walked in, I found the little hole in the wall to be very promising.

Pieloon is known for its everyday special priced meal. For $10.99 you get a generous cut of the king of beef or a 10 oz. sirloin steak. The special includes your choice of soup or salad, garlic cheese toast or corn bread, and potatoes or rice.

The food is delicious and all priced extremely reasonably, not to mention their friendly staff that will get your food to you quickly. Before leaving you must try their pies for which they are named after!

If you’re in the Downey area, you definitely need to check out this spot located at the corner of Firestone and Lakewood.
