The monthly Go Tuning meet was held at ATTIC Buena Park on Tuesday. It was a packed parking lot. S2k’s, 350Z/G35’s, and all types of Honda’s came through to meet, eat and chill.

Before I flew back to CA, my friend Ichiko suggested that we go out to Enoshima Island, which is a small island part of Fujisawa City which you can compare to Catalina Island.
Before Ichiko and I did some walking, we decided to have lunch first at one of the restuarants on the island that served a bunch of traditional Japanese food that you would probably not find in the U.S. Pictured above is what Ichiko ordered, which was pretty good, but unfortunately I don’t know how to describe it tasted!
This is what I ordered, everything raw and good!
Enoshima Island has a bunch of small little shrines and temples on the island. This is the main one I believe.

These wooden palettes are used for writing down your wish/message that you hope to come true in the future. Many of the palettes have to deal with love and relationships. And the funny random messages Japanese people sometimes write!
This one was interesting as it reads “Eri & Chris” Pretty random since you don’t see many foreigners going to Enoshima Island.
There were a lot of cats chillin’ on the island for some reason. This one here was just passed out on the steps.

This was a cool shrine with a dragon on top. Back in the day, Japanese people used to believe the dragon was one of their gods.

We went into some cave they had there and the good thing is they got rid of the bats. The last cave I went to up in northern Japan of Iwate prefecture, there were bats flying all around.

90 degree weather + humidity, wore the both of us out. We are done for the day!
I had a great time at Enoshima Island and couldn’t believe it was only under an hour train ride from my place in Yokohama. I have yet to return again.

Since we seem to be on the subject of cars (car meet at the Attic tomorrow by the way) and since cars can relate to the streetwear scene, I just wanted to share with all of you that I shot the front cover car for the latest issue of Import Tuner which is on newsstands now. In case you are confused, the car is a RX7 with a RX8 front end conversion. Super clean.
