How do you like being lagged on? You did it to me for 8 months. I did it to you for 3 weeks.
Do you think I post anything up on the blog?
There is a heavy evaluation by a select panel to discuss if the content is worthy.
After thorough review, you made it… Barely
~ Rewind it back 3 years.
A confused Andy Cool & a nervous Polo met with one of our other Attic buyers at Magic.
The deal wasn’t made initially with IM King because 1) that other buyer never informed me he met them and 2) I had no idea of who/ what/ where/ when and why about this company
Then Chris “Dirty” Ngo approached me with a proposition for IM King and I personally met Andy and Polo. The rest is all HI$$$$$TORY…
Through thick and thin, we always had each others backs when it came to our business vision and branding image.
Fast forward today and you can see it paid off in so many ways.
Attic HAS and IS still surviving this economic sh*t storm and we have ZERO plans of stopping… Even “those” that spread rumors to other vendors saying we are closing down to hijack our accounts (tisk tisk)
To be completely honest with our readers, we have been checking out real estate areas in a neighborhood near you so if you guys have any suggestions for where you want us to pop up, feel free to give us your suggestions @ info@attic2zoo.com !
AND…
what about IM King and what have they done for themselves in the past couple of years?
Besides having one of the heaviest website traffic in the streetwear industry, having Billboard’s Top 10 Artists constantly rockin’ their gear, and educating us on where the dining hot spots are (+1 for you Andy Cool), you guys did what every brand in our store “talked” about doing forever, a real deal BUILD OUT.
The T-Shirt only brand that a lot of you may have remembered from yesteryears have blossomed into a full fledged brand offering unique, cost conscious cut & sew lineups, innovative accessories, and aggressive patterns & colors while keeping around their “I don’t give a fu*k” mentality designed T-Shirts.
I always told myself, “If I were to ever open up the store of my dreams, I could never do the “cookie cutter” streetwear shop”. Besides the shotty customer service and limited selections because of their 1 rack, 1 shelf interior decor, I always lived my life on a different beat and my business model wasn’t going to be any different.
This may come off as stand offish and arrogant but my intentions isn’t to talk sh*t. I can’t help having abnormally sized ambitions and dreams…
I would like to thank Alex “Streetwear Bear” Kuang personally for his wonderful job on the IM King build out that we proudly display it in the center of our store.
And the efforts are already paying off… Spring Season is flying off the shelves so don’t sleep on Im King Spring 2010.

The homey AK at the AK doing some major damage in the NYC.
Besides kickin’ it with the streetwear scene at Alife and Mishka, he is also documenting his experiences being a native Californian experiencing NYC life first hand.
I really do enjoy reading about his struggles I mean experiences in NYC…
And when he doesn’t have good content on his blog, he just whines about me.
Hey, using “MR. ATTIC” probably is smart in keyword optimization.
Better late than never sucka…
