Hip Hop started in the Bronx in the 1970s, but with the help of shows like America’s Best Dance Crew, Hip Hop has made its way all around the world.
Recently, it made a round trip right back to OC!
The advanced screening of Saigon Electric, Vietnam’s first Hip Hop film directed by Stephane Gauger, took the OC by storm! With Poreotics and Kaba Modern headlining the Electric Showcase we also had special guests come out in support of an evening of Hip Hop, dance, music and film.
I was literally running around like a maniac the whole time so I couldn’t take any photos, but the Saigon Electric team had an amazing staff of photographers that took exclusive behind the scenes!

Not kidding when I said I was running. Heels and everything, 10 minutes before Red Carpet started!

Since Crooks last visited us at the Buena Park shop, we’ve been busy building some projects with Chief and the C&C fam. So I made my way up to the Crooks & Castles Concept Shop on Sunset Blvd for a meeting. Plus, it was an excuse to see all the cool stuff at their shop.

Crooks Fall/Winter 2011 is about to go hard…

Gotta get me one of these…

You can have your fixie. I’ll take this.

I met The Game and Kid Red at a DUB Magazine photoshoot back in April of this year. With tour dates locked in and a busy schedule ahead, Game and Kid Red requested some new threads. Of course I got them!
TheWhatItDo.com dropped by for some exclusive interviews with BLACK WALLSTREET members Kid Red, Compton Menace and Famous Fresh. Stay tuned for the video coverage coming soon!

The homie Kid Red…

A very humble guy.

Compton Menace is actually a real nice guy. All smiles during his visit.
So what was in that “industrial box” for The Game?

Certified.

#shoutout to The Game, Kid Red, Compton Menace, Famous Fresh and the rest of Black Wallstreet!

Tough loss for our Chargers yesterday at the hands of those Patriots Cheaters. SP did have a great showing though with 4 tackles, a SACK and another tipped pass. He also put some serious pressure on Brady all day. Too bad Rivers kept giving the ball away.
Well, here’s a consolation prize. THE FIRST IMAGES OF THE #SPF SNAPBACK!
There will be only 95 pieces will be available exclusively at ATTIC SAN DIEGO. Limited quantities will be available for purchase Online.
All proceeds will go to SHAUN PHILLIP’s charity “San Diego After School All-Stars,” which benefits after school programs for at-risk children and youth.
The wool snapback features an all black bill and crown with a green under bill for a retro look.
The front of the Snapback features the traditional NFL crest, but with Shaun Phillips’ initials “SPF” in replacement of the NFL logo in 3D embroidery. The stars above the logo represent Shaun Phillips’ jersey number 95 with 9 stars on top row and 5 on the bottom. The back features a SHUAN PHILLIPS signature. On the right hand side of the snapback is the ATTIC box logo.
This collaboration with Shaun Phillips presented an opportunity to give back to the San Diego. We wanted the Shaun Phillips Snapback to be exclusive to Attic San Diego to thank the community that had supported the very first Attic shop that opened on 5th Avenue. This one’s for you!
